market days

we are really finding our own little niche at the Farmers Market ... I think it is fun for all of us, even dada....



I love it when friends stop by....

I think my stuff looks nice in the light.



And burger loves playing on the "rocks" aka pavement.

now I can just relax and enjoy myself right?

Aprons, aprons, aprons,...Farmers market preview for April 26th

Aprons!! I am trying to make more , they do take lots of attention , I just get so wrapped up in making each one I forget that I need to make more than one a week; anyway I hope to make at least one more this week. Here is the first it has that sweet calico garden print I got in Wimberly as the smock and a raw silk as the skirt.




I made the flower pattern after one of the flowers in the print.




I used all green vintage buttons on the pocket and the smock from the stash the uncle gave us!(thanks CG)

here are a few pix of my others but they are already happy in someone Else's home( i did not even get a chance to post photos of them before I sold them)



I also have some new boy shorts size 2t( i had to make 2 pair one for Burger and one for the market)

Live Mom bag give away

A look at the garden...

We are slowly getting the tomato plants in the ground.
I have been very neglectful because of the Farmers Market. However I did manage to pant my cukes and some bush beans as well as some more basil and nasturtiums about 2 weeks ago. The beans and the cukes have sprouted and are so cute.

I can't wait for cukes! They grow so fast and do so well here , I always have way more than I know what to do with.( so locals let me know if you like cukes) I use like a pickling variety that I got from Callaghan's General store. Look how teeny that tomato plant looks in that big ole' cage....just wait they won't even fit in the cages by the end of the summer.

My very first give away- Pretty pin cushion!!!

OK so here is my first give away . It is a very pretty "heirloom style" pin cushion.




I used these beautiful vintage quilted squares I made about 6 or 7 total and this is the second to last one.



I will allow papa to pick at random the winner from comments left here between now and may 1rst. That is the grand re-opening for my etsy shop.



I will have at least one more give away before the grand event!!!! so watch out....

I heart romance

me and daddy made a getaway for our 3 year anniversary.



It was truly wonderful and I have beautiful hill country wildflower photos to prove it.


Thank you donda cinda and paps for making it all possible, we love you dearly. Here are a few more of my favorite photos for our little trip. We were in Wimberly, Texas at a B & B called Southwind . It was very secluded and simply perfect for our excursion. The cabin (we had our own)was nestled in the hill country woods and looked like it was made from the cedar they cleared for the cabin lot.

My etsy shop grand re-opening!

I will be having a grand re-opening of my Etsy shop as Belle and Burger on May 1rst.




I will have some of the same things at the farmers market and some things will be special for each location. I will be doing several give-aways before the opening day with one starting this week!!!So watch out!

Preview for this weeks Farmers MarkeT.....STRAWBERRIES!!!!!

It is strawberry season round these parts and I am getting inspired...I made these little cards to get my mind going on strawberries.
